HDA is a secure, multilingual platform that allows users to centralise, organise, and manage their health data from multiple sources and formats.
HDA was born out of personal frustration with how fragmented and scattered health data is. Even in perfect circumstances with full interoperability that is hardly achievable in the immediate future, crucial, day-to-day details that impact real decision-making won't make it into clinical notes—leaving gaps in care and making true prevention nearly impossible.
Both co-founders have faced these challenges firsthand—one as a clinician and neurodivergent patient navigating healthcare in 4 languages across multiple countries, and the other as a chronic illness patient struggling with the bureaucratic nightmare of accessing health and disability support.
We realised that existing solutions are built for health institutions, not patients—and the only way to change that is to empower individuals to take control of their own data. With HDA, we are creating the tool we wish had existed for ourselves and countless others in the same situation.
Health data is highly sensitive, and data security is the foundation of our platform. That's why HDA follows the highest standards in data security, encryption, and privacy compliance.
We're UK based, meaning we're subject to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), ensuring that your medical data is protected and handled responsibly.
We do not sell or share your data with third parties. Our goal is to empower you, not exploit your information.
You do. HDA does not claim ownership of your data. You have full control over what you store, edit, or delete at any time. We don't use it for any purpose other than providing you with the service you signed up for.
Your data is encrypted while being transferred between the user and HDA, and while being stored on our servers. We use the latest encryption standards to ensure your data is safe.
We implement strict access controls to ensure that only you, the user, can choose who accesses your data.
Unlike traditional systems controlled by hospitals or insurers, you decide what medical data to store, update, or delete.
If you send us any feedback through the app - firstly, thank you! - we remove any personal identifiers from your feedback before storing it. This helps us improve the app while keeping your feedback anonymous and your data private.
Our privacy policy covers everything in more detail.
The NHS uses a variety of Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems across its trusts, many of which cannot communicate effectively with each other. This lack of interoperability creates data silos, with patient records often scattered across multiple systems—some available digitally, others only in printed or handwritten formats.
While we aim to integrate with as many health data providers as possible, including the NHS app, integration alone often results in incomplete and inconsistent data. Therefore, our focus is on empowering users to reclaim and consolidate their health data directly, regardless of its format or location.
In the future, HDA will support integration with devices like Fitbit, Garmin, or Apple Health, providing real-time health data insights.
Absolutely. HDA will allow you to create and manage profiles for family members and share access, making it a versatile solution for households.

No. All the data you’ve uploaded will remain in your profile, even if it exceeds the free 500MB limit. You won’t lose access to your records, but you won’t be able to upload new files until you subscribe again. You’ll still be able to use features like cross-lingual search, health journal, update your profile, and share your data.
💡 Your data stays safe and accessible.
You can continue using HDA for free with up to 500MB of storage (that’s a lot of files, so most users won’t hit the limit quickly).
