At HDA, we are convinced: having a clear stance on user data from A to Z is non‑negotiable. Security has to be built into every layer.
That's why at HDA we don't compromise by launching an open beta too early or charging for access, even though HDA is already delivering clear value to users and doing so would make our fundraising journey much smoother. It's also why we've built our own observability and analytics tools instead of relying on third‑party trackers.
Most user‑journey tools—think Google Analytics‑style solutions—allow not just the app owner but also providers like Google or Meta to follow users through an app or site. Avoiding silent data handoffs is hard and expensive, but essential.
We believe users deserve full transparency, true ownership, and active informed consent.
Building bulletproof privacy is almost impossible in practice and it's always a work in progress in the constantly evolving digital world, but the bigger you grow, the more critical it becomes.
It's easy to talk about privacy in theory. We're keen to exchange ideas with privacy experts, other founders and digital health professionals on how to make patient‑first data security truly work in practice.
